Why FITs?  Why Now?

Feed-in Tariffs have been proven worldwide to deliver and scale cost-effective renewable energy.  By providing a reliable price and leveling the playing field for renewable energy generators, FITs foster a critical, under-developed market segment – Wholesale Distributed Generation (WDG).  WDG is comprised of 20 MW-and-under projects and is the only market segment that can deliver enough renewable energy within the next 10 years for states to reach their renewable energy goals, also known as renewable electricity standards.

Governments in the US around the world have implemented Feed-In Tariffs to meet their renewable energy goals and to achieve tremendous economic benefits.  Now is the time for the rest of the US to follow examples set by governments such as Vermont, Gainesville, Hawaii and Sacramento to move the country towards a prosperous clean energy future.
